Week 17 – ITF W100 - Gifu, Japan - Hard

Katie was shaking her right calf, and ended up with it all taped up

I think the injury actually happened early in the first set, or maybe she carried the injury into the match. Several times in that first set Katie was trying to mobilise her right foot between points.

Yes, she kept pulling up her right toes, to stretch - I thought it was cramp at first but can't have been

Enjoyed the doubles

But Mika and Olivia will be cross - they were miles ahead in the MTB - until they weren't

Hev & Hazza win 10-8 in the MTB

Mika+ lost 6 points in a row in that MTB

From 3-7 down to 9-7

Hev was weak at the start - got passed, wouldn't intercept....

But landed her best serve at 8-7, which made all the difference

There is something odd about Olivia & Mika's ranking.

That win is going to give Heather a massive boost to her ranking - around 250 places, but still way below her true ranking
