Great to see Jake and Jan go through to the final round, but JPJ will be disappointed. That was really one that got away.

Watched a bit of it and he was a break up at the start of both the second and third sets, but played really loose service games and got broken back straight away. Looked the better player at times, and dirt isn't exactly Kypson's best surface either.

Has Jake got his mojo back at last?

Thats really good to read - not been clay court gods that he has played, nonetheless winning builds confidence and he looks like he has done so relatively comfortably as well.

Perricard has Greg Rusedski as his coach now I believe.

 Interesting, thanks Wolf

TBH, in many ways, that makes a lot more sense that Roig

It's a bit one-trick pony teaching another one-trick pony

But if you feel you should just work your strengths rather than your weaknesses (as some do), it's not a bad strategy

Also, a BIG jump up for Greg after Ben Jones....

Greg is also a very upbeat, vocal, 'noisy' coach

Someone like Gio may well benefit from that (it would drive me mad; but Gio is a little reserved - it may do him good)

Really good to see Jake winning again! Maybe the pressure's come off a bit now he's dropped most of the points he was defending (and he's got past any injury niggles) and he can start his climb back up the rankings to where he should be. Perricard should be a good test.

I'm always shocked by how highly ranked Perricard is - everytime I've seen him play I've not been impressed. Decent draw and opportunity for Jake to get some much needed points.

Russell fuller wrote on the BBC today about the injury hit Brits, and how Jake had been out 7 weeks with rib injury. 7 weeks surprised me, I hadnt realised. But maybe, if he is over the injury, we will see him start to return to form. Hopefully his confidence his returning.

He can beat GMP, for sure
