Must have been a big improvement. I've just pulled up the stream and it's 3-6 6-3

Yes some improvement but its been a slog, awful conditions I can hear thunder there but no rain.

Katie missed two break points 4-4 with some poor play. Hopefully wont rue them

Yeah Katie comes out the wrong end of two long games, both of which she had opportunities to win to lose 6-4 in the third. As you say Mark, she didn't play those break points well sadly.

And the heavens open when Katie serves 4-5 and she complains she cant see to serve but play continues and its over and out 4-6. No handshake from Boulter for her opponent or umpire, something Ive not seen from her before.

A poor start from the girls and Tereza in particular (who loses both her service games). 1-6

Maybe the little and large/nice and nasty combination will work for them ;)

Is there any connection between Putintseva and UK. Maybe she trains here a lot? She played doubles with Harriet at the US Open. Maybe just a coincidence

As all the big tournaments around this time are in Europe, it makes sense that Aussies would base themselves there rather than keep travelling halfway around the world every week. And it would make even more sense that, of all the European countries, they would choose the English speaking one.
