So with Katie's loss today and Wimbledon over for women's singles, this is our table (with 43 wins in total) with just Harriet at Newport to come
Basically, it is a 3 way tie for top, with Harriet able to take it if she still plays Newport next week. Let's see - the 3 players on 4 wins will be tied, regardless

Hmmm. The WTA website is only showing the qualifying players now as the Q-draw is out. Harriet was 11th on the main draw entry list (tennisforum.com). Hope you are wrong (for Harriet's sake)
Ah, maybe I misunderstood what they were showing. I will delete my previous posts!
I can post again when it is certain! Hope Harriet does play!

So, its all over. Harriet doesnt play Newport https://wtafiles.wtatennis.com/pdf/draws/2026/1123/MDS.pdf and as such the womens grass court season is over for British singles. We end with 43 wins and in 4 wins each, Ella, Emma and Katie S are our top players this season in terms of wins - congrats to them!
Last season, our women managed 58 wins delivered by 23 players.
This season, we have reached 43 wins from 22 players. We had 13 grass events in total, 12 last year. The new event was Egypt W50, the rest the same.
Given it is pretty much like for like, a 25% fall in wins is quite a disappointing grass season for the women and ,yet, we had a great high start with Emma and Katie doing so well at Queens. Such a shame it fell away.
I have decided that this will be the last one I will do of these for the womens grass court wins; it takes quite a lot for me to follow the results each day and am not entirely sure it is that much followed by others. I will stop the mens also once this years has finished, although the number of wins makes that more interesting.
Either way, this is the end of the road for this one!
PS the grand slam wins, Favourite British Player and Player of the Month and Player of the Season aren't going anywhere (just yet!) and will continue for as long as I remain excited by each of them (which at the moment I am!)
