And thats it. Im afraid this little game, at least with me doing it, is now laid to rest - its quite a lot of work for me and the pros for me are outweighed by the cons. Always happy if someone else fancies doing it next year, please feel free to go ahead.
Hope folks enjoyed it the past few years Ive run it. See you on other parts of the forum going forwards!

Thankyou so much JonH, really appreciate your efforts. Congrats to the three tied winners also. Interesting to see how they push on now, because with tennis being so much a mental game, with that many wins under their belts they must have learnt a thing or two about the more subtle aspect's of success on the court for them as individuals.
Thanks JonH. Without this competition I wouldnt have realised quite how many grass court wins there have been this year. I knew Id made a silly choice as soon as I pressed the button but Ill miss not doing it again. Dont think I could commit to being consistently around to take on the job of running it though so appreciate your time in doing so. Always a bit of fun.

Thanks Julia and Goldfish - appreciated. The thing is, to do it properly requires a daily or regular update of results for 6 weeks or so and thats what I find hard . I could set up the vote and just let it run and see where we are at the end but that doesnt feel like much fun. Hence, Id rather not do it, but happy if someone else picks it up as a thing next season.
I rarely vote in these prediction competitions as I don't have enough of the bigger picture, but had such faith in Arthur progressing I dipped my toe in the water!
Thanks Jon, it won't be a big gap in my life, but keep going with the Player of the Month please x

thanks Christine - no need to worry, player of the month and player of the season are very safe not going anywhere! Nor is the slam wins prediction contest.
it is just this / to do it how I want to do it requires me to put a daily effort in that I cant sustain and I dont want to do something that isnt how I prefer to do it.

So dont worry, PoM/ PoS is safe!
Not like you, Jon, to suggest such things are in the bag, if anything you are often encouragong that the opposite is the case
Watch out for Fairytale in New York 2 - not necessarily with Emma starring in the sequel.

Ha - no, what I meant was PoM/PoS is safe from a "me carrying on doing it" perspective - I am not going anywhere on that, hence the recent consultaton!
In terms of who wins it, definitely v open - last weeks events may have created a favourite but others have achieved impressive things and there is a good half a year left to go this season, with the US Open, 4 Masters series events, tour finals, DC finals/BJK Cup finals, and other things. A moment (last week) may be enough - England have got to the semis on moments - but someone out there could well have an equal moment or prove themselves a France or Spain and sustain a exellence for the rest of the season.
Ha, sorry I actually read that before more in context and understood what you meant. I take a day off the forum, spin through the threads, have a quick read here, and plunge in
Yes, you keep on doing PoM / PoS and encouraging - "it's not over yet ...."
