Didn't watch JoMo's match today, but I watched bits of his second round loss in Little Rock last week. Looks to me like he's changed his service action quite a bit to a more abbreviated motion - wonder whether that's because of injury or other reasons?

Will be interested to see what others make of it. Never easy to come back from an extended layoff so imagine it will take a few weeks for him to get back up to speed

L16:  (LL) Hayato Matsuoka (JPN) WR 356 (= CH) vs (NG) Henry Searle WR 362

Matsuoka beat Tomic, the sixth seed (WR 194), in two tie-breaks earlier...

Well done to Henry on picking things up so much lately says a fairly recent critic.

Currently showing as live ranked 346 as against his existing CH 353 from January.

Yeah, he seems to be doing well. Hes not down for anything next week that I can see.  Needs to get on the grass soon. Ah, Queens Qualies wild card maybe - is that the week after?

Poling beat JoMo's conqueror, Bicknell, by 5 & 5...

He just needed your gentle kick up the jacksie

Maybe also tied to Dan Evan's increasingy involvement? (No idea about timing)

Disappointing result. At least he made it to the quarters. I watched some of it. The rain delay stops and starts can't have helped.
