Abigail is at Ilkley commentating although it certainly sounds like it wasn't her you saw. Annabel, Naomi and Anne are at Queens. There were a few others at Roland Garros as well.

It may be me going daft and mainly why I asked the question - as it has been Abigail at Ilkley for a few years and I know her voice and would recognise her. And I was convinced this person was different. Maybe Im getting old?!

I think with Katie we have to remember that she may not be able to play in the manner she used to, maybe she cant be as explosive as she used to be and I think for her to get close to her career high ranking would be an excellent achievement, maybe she wont be top 50 or higher but to be around top 100 and be on the edge of slam qualification would be wonderful given the setbacks shes had

Absolutely - I think when watching a player, if you also have some sort of emotional attachment, being a fan effectively, it connects you when watching them. I personally dont have that with Katie and so my attention was drawn elsewhere, but I know a lot of people do. And I very much do wish her well and hope she fulfills whatever level she aspires to achieve.
She is on centre today, I see, weather allowing and hope she gives Golubic a good match.

Yes! It was! You never cease to amaze me with your sleuthing!

And she wore that coat she has on their later in the day when it chilled a bit!

That's Lily Coleman. There's a reason why she sounds like a younger Annabel Croft - Lily is Annabel's daughter!

Amazing! She was so like her!

Explains all! Thanks Emmie!

LTA website reporting no play before 4pm today, I find it hard to believe there will be any play at all today going by the forecast

I'm back in Harrogate today and it has rained constantly and heavily all day so far. It is completely grey overhead and, unlike yesterday where it was rolling clouds with downpours and eventually largely blue, it looks like it will be rain all day today.

I guess there are 4 rounds to play and 3 days left after today, so assume they will catch up if they can - two rounds tomorrow would probably be too much to try and play tomorrow so presume they will try and get through to semis finishing saturday with as many rounds as possible tomorrow. They wont want to push it on to the indoor courts.

The good news for the event is (sort of) money - the hospitality was humming whilst it rained and I imagine will be all day today - people dont seem to care, they just want to enjoy! - and they will make a killing at the bars and food outlets!

I understand money back policy is if there is less than one hour consistent play, they give a full refund. Less than 2 hours but more than one and it is 50 percent refund - although the refund isnt cash, it is effectively a credit note to use against tickets next season

Doubles matches are taking place indoors by the looks of things, Brooks and Rajecki have just won in a match tie break against the American pair

Looks like they plan to try and get womens and mens doubles through to the semis. Weather seems to have eased but still a very fine drizzle, cant see them getting on court outdoors today.
