Week 24 - ATP 500 - HSBC Championships - The Queen's Club, London, Great Britain (grass)

Cerundolo once lost to a Ryan Peniston in queens but he also won Eastbourne a year or two later. So has maybe figured out the grass better these days

Arthur has had SOOOO many opportunities. He had several break points in the last game, on two of those he missed 2nd set returns. Great that he's able to hang in there with a top 30 player but he hasn't played the big points well so far - I guess expected with his lack of experience.

QF:  (7) Francisco Cerúndolo (ARG) WR 27 defeated (WC) Arthur Féry WR 141 by 7-6(1) 3-6 6-4  hmm

An absorbing match.  Arthur certainly gave Cerúndolo a run for his money.

Arthur converted 5/20 BPs against 5/12, though to be fair most of that divergence was in the 2nd set which he won anyway.

He did lead the 1st set 5-3* and had a BP at 4-4* in the 3rd. He had 100 service points against 117, also indicating a fair bit less pressure on his serve. Total points were 107 to 110.

Pity but still a great week for him.

Watch out for Cerundolo - first week with Massu as coach and he wins a title; Massu was also Thiems coach.
