Alicia played well today, yastremska juat seemed to have an extra gear towards the end of both sets.

Just in case anyone needs to know, the bar and another food outlet are in the marquee , on the right hand side if you go in from the main carpark.

Perhaps I'm out of line, but Dart didn't seem to me to be firing on all cylinders in that match.

With Boulter out through injury, could Dart have got the call to play in Eastbourne next week?

Mimi and Alicia lost 6-3 6-4. Did ok but had 3 break points at 4-4* they should have taken one of.

Katie wouldn't have been able to take a WC in Eastbourne. She's out of WTA MDWCs for this year. Come to think of it I don't see how she was eligible for a MDWC here? Players are allowed 3 MDWCs to WTA Tour level events each year and Katie has had MDWCs in Auckland, Merida and Queens this year.
Edit. Ignore me. I forgot about the 3 additional WCs for being in WTA events for 10 years.

Very impressive hold for 4-3, a little bit of inexperience with the weak drop shot at 0-15 and then the big double fault to go down break points but responded really well. Interesting test for Hannah because she has the heavier groundstrokes but Bouzkova will force her to always play an extra shot or 5

When our 17 year-old ranked 510 or so in the world is holding her own, in a good quality match, with the woman ranked 22 or so in the world, life is good

Hannah loses the set 5-7. Serve not working quite as well today, but it was the UFE that made the difference.

Hannah a set down 5-7, but certainly not overpowered against a Wimbledon seed.

Rather the opposite - Hannah is hitting harder, but started missing a lot at the end of that first set. She could afford to take a little bit off and extend the points.
