Hannah a set down 5-7, but certainly not overpowered against a Wimbledon seed.

Rather the opposite - Hannah is hitting harder, but started missing a lot at the end of that first set. She could afford to take a little bit off and extend the points.

It's not her style though -and she'll still miss if she takes a bit off

As you say, a very good set - with a fair score - Hannah had a clutch of break points in the middle - that was her chance, although she didn't nothing wrong on a couple

For me the second set will be the most interesting test for Hannah. Can she regroup and put up a fight? Many would just fall away at this age. Starts the second set well. Keep going Hannah.

It looked to me like Hannah was psyched out by the late break in set one and she never properly recovered her rhythm. But it's all part of the learning curve at her age. This tournament has still been a great experience for her.

Definitely a step up today in class of her opponent. Showed glimpses of what we can look forward to. Well done Hannah.

Hannah has played some truly lousy games this year, in the US, for instance, quite recently

I watched several and will never get that time back

But the last few matches on grass have been brilliant

Obviously you don't expect someone ranked 500 to beat someone ranked 20

But it's the level of tennis that is important

And Hannah finally is taking the ball on, standing in on some returns, and not drooping (too much) around the place

Really encouraging
