Had a good week and lots to build on - Humbert is playing really well and he ran him close. Watch out for him at Wimbledon - plays Bergs I believe there as well or have I got that wrong ?
No doubt Jan generally thinks that Toby is a great guy but he can probably live with Toby losing there, and re top 100 not being taken to the wire of tomorrow's final.
I suspect it will only be a matter of time before Toby does enter the top 100 ( though we've said that about Brits before ) but for now, always assuming live rankings have it right ...
Congratulations to Jan Choinski WR 100
Yes Tara, WR 100 is in the top 100 ( old stagers here may recognise the reference ).
I can almost remember the quote, but was it Top 200 (no. 200) she had achieved at the time?
nobody was allowed to buy tickets for the Sunday final, or roll their Saturday tickets into the Sunday final
There was a community event going on and only those people were allowed into the complex - but, of course, they weren't focused on the final, it's not why they were there
Several stands in the court with the final were completely shut
And the stand that actually was open was only open to community event ticket-holders so it got a few people, but not a lot
And the poor people from yesterday got a 50% refund - but not a proper refund, they got a credit note in their LTA ticket account

Thats rubbish.
all sorts of better ways they could have managed that.

Well at least they got some money back - after all, the ladies singles final was played, but not the doubles. The 50% refund is set out in their terms and conditions, which is pretty poor.
