Week 25 - WTA500 - Bad Homburg, Germany - Grass

I think Leylah is the more aggressive now in this set. Katie has become a little passive.

Katie breaks then holds from *0-40, breaks to serve for it, double faults at *30-40

Tiebreak. Sheesh. This set is all over the place.

That was a close set! If Katie had just played a bit more consistently that could have been closed out a lot quicker but kudos to Leylah for fighting hard.

Katie breaks in game 3 of the 3rd set on her 8th BP of a 34 point game !

Have a sit down, ladies.

7-6(5) 3-6 *2-1

If only Katie could hold her serve.

Fernandez wins 6-3 final set.Plenty of chances for Katie. Made it competitive again but Keylah comes out on top this time.

Well couldnt watch but certainly sounds like Katie has took a step back from last week. Story of her career really. Shouldve played Eastbourne!

Well Leylah is ranked 22 in the world. So stepping up to a higher level. Eastbourne could have been a lot easier but maybe she now needs to recover before Wimbledon. Onto the practice courts with the rest Sinner, Serena, Emma
