Serena has indeed got the final wildcard.

Well, wouldn't it be nice if she got drawn against a Brit - and lost :)

I'm an antisocial person, and never meet up with people - I know it's not great, I'm sorry, but as explained ages ago, I tried it once, for a different forum, about 15 years ago, or more, and it was a bad idea
So, to all concerned, it's not at all personal, it's just me - have a great time, everybody !

Pretty sure you sat right in front of me last year but you'd made it clear on here that you didn't like to be social so I didn't tap you on the shoulder

My sympathy lies with Victoria Kantiseva Jimenez who is first main draw alternate, possibly deprived of the £80 first round prize, and with Victoria Hruncakova, first alternate for qualifying.

I hope SW either gets the draw that scottie suggests, or failing that a top 10 player to give her the runaround. If she should make it to the second round and appear on Court One on the first Thursday it will be time for a wander around the grounds to find a better match to watch.

Google says 22 minutes, and around a mile to Bank Lane.

Yes Jodie has withdrawn, and because all the other likely options for a replacement wildcard (Emily App mainly) played Eastbourne, they decided not to reallocate it and just let the next player in.

She must be pretty ill to not just give it a go in 48 hours time and withdraw this far in advance.

 A countryside 10 mins smile

15-20 mins at a gentle stroll (on foot, you can cut through the wild park bit, don't need to go by the road, which makes it a bit shorter)

That's a real shame for Jodie cry

And for the other potential wildcards

Yes, for most things, for a young person, you'd hope that 48 hours would see you right, or at least give you a chance - we're talking £20k here
