Ive previously been to Barnes station and walked but I thought someone mentioned a different route approaching from the other direction. The walk back to Barnes in the evening always feels quite long! Going on Tuesday if I havent melted before then.
Yes Jodie has withdrawn, and because all the other likely options for a replacement wildcard (Emily App mainly) played Eastbourne, they decided not to reallocate it and just let the next player in.
She must be pretty ill to not just give it a go in 48 hours time and withdraw this far in advance.

Clara Burel has also withdraw, letting Laura Pigossi in.
A real shame about Jodie. For one reason or another I have never actually seen Jodie play live, so I was looking forward to Tuesday. She's had more than a fair share of injuries. I remember when I first saw her at Chiswick some years ago - sitting on the grass with her foot in a boot.

Might have been me. I walked up from Mortlake station last year. Similar distance and time, but once you get across Upper Richmond Road it is much quieter, and the walk through Palewell Park at the end is quite pleasant.

Thats infuriating because Brooke and Savannah couldve had it and I get thats hard on those who got Eastbourne WCs (Emily A and Indi) but its better than l letting it go to waste

The heat was likely a factor. If she is recovering from illness she's not going to last long in 35+C heat. Maybe if it were in the low 20s she might have given it a go.
On that note, for everyone attending tennis matches this week in the UK, keep safe. Plenty of water, keep covered, sun hat and SP50! Hope the tournament organisers spare a thought for the players.
Planned to go on Thursday. Not sure I will now with the heat and horrible journey. Did I read that you can get a refund?
Yes, I've got a refund being processed.
It took me a while to find the right place. Maybe just me, but not obvious at all.
You have to go to the page where tickets are on sale, go to your account, where ticket should show, then there's a drop down menu to request refund. Hopefully this link will work:

PS you have to do it by the previous day I think

I still think that, for £20,000, nearly any player, with a 'normal' illness, however bad, would have dosed themselves to the eyeballs and crawled out of of bed. It's a year-changing sum.
So, my assumption is that it's not a 'normal' illness
