And on that note I'm off to the station to head to Richmond before heading to qualifying tomorrow. No updates from me for a few hours !

5 of the 7 drawing seeds is not ideal but a few of them looks quite winnable - Heather, Lily, Millie (if she plays well). Dani could spring s surprise but it's a big ask still. Sasnovich could blow Katy off the court or spend the entire match hitting the back fence.

Vondrousova given a 4 year ban and set to miss Wimbledon, was number 42 on the main draw entry list, does someone get bumped up from qualifying or does it mean a LL space available already?

Podoroska will move into the main draw, but she doesn't appear to have entered qualifying so it won't affect the draw

Only when qualifying has started can main draw withdrawals not be replaced by next in.

I thought she'd withdrawn weeks ago

Maybe she had, I had to pull up the entry list that was on the Wimbledon website to check where she was so could well be outdated

Planned to go on Thursday. Not sure I will now with the heat and horrible journey. Did I read that you can get a refund?

Yes, I've got a refund being processed.

It took me a while to find the right place. Maybe just me, but not obvious at all.

You have to go to the page where tickets are on sale, go to your account, where ticket should show, then there's a drop down menu to request refund. Hopefully this link will work:

 https://qualifyingtickets.wimbledon.com/content

PS you have to do it by the previous day I think

Yes Jodie has withdrawn, and because all the other likely options for a replacement wildcard (Emily App mainly) played Eastbourne, they decided not to reallocate it and just let the next player in.

She must be pretty ill to not just give it a go in 48 hours time and withdraw this far in advance.

The heat was likely a factor. If she is recovering from illness she's not going to last long in 35+C heat. Maybe if it were in the low 20s she might have given it a go.

Think she got a MDWildcard for the doubles. Hopefully well enough for that.

Ah that's a shame. They didn't make it particularly easy - and I was having real issues with the app too evileye
