I didn't see any of the final but re possible injury, in its story of the final the BBC Sport website does say:

"However, Zverev slipped trying to reach a Sinner drop-shot ( in the 3rd set ) and, although he quickly allayed fears he was injured, the momentum raced away from him."

Sinner won by 6-7(7) 7-6(2) 6-3 6-4 in 3 hours 46 minutes. It was *3-3 ( BP to Zverev ) in the 3rd set.

Thanks for your replies Stircrazy. I guess what I was wondering about was a background reason e.g. was the French system not as good/supportive, did he fall out with anyone etc Rather than, he feels British.

just from a technical point of view, if you open the article on a PC and quickly click ctrl A (select all) then ctrl C (copy) before the paywall kicks in, you can usually paste the whole article into Word, Notes etc. Of course I would never encourage anyone to do such a thing.
