Emma is widely reported as being doubtful with a shin issue (best guess is shin splints). So let's see what happens over the weekend after she no-showed her practice.

Emma should beat Ruzic

Very tough draws for the 3 teenagers

Harriet could beat Ostapenko or get blown away, all depends on Jelena

Alicia getting Alycia isn't a bad draw but I worry her confidence has taken a hit during this grass season

Parry is likely to be tricky for Fran but I hope with the home crowd she might come through that

I'd back the Katies against their opponents

I think we should get 3 first round wins, maybe 4 if we get a surprise somewhere
