L64:  Jakub Paul & Ryan Seggerman (SUI/USA) CR 141 (67+74) defeated Luke Johnson & Jan Zielinski (POL) CR 79 (51+28) by 4 & 4

That's really disappointing.

At least a little bit of crowd can squeeze into 15. Still feels like Dan must have upset someone among the PTB at Wimbledon in the past...

None of the bigger courts have doubles matches scheduled that I can see.  4,5 and 6 just have doubles today, they're near Court 2 so at the far end, Dans court is pretty central so in the grand scheme of things, perfectly acceptable.  I'm sure if they get through today, they'll get 12 or 18 at some point.

I was still thinking more in terms of the singles snub to be honest.  What a low-key end for Dan, especially when compared with a Swiss national who never got past the quarters at Wimbledon even in his prime...

Being born without a silver spoon in his mouth certainly didn't help.

Didn't help himself in his early years.

Bit he's been a good boy for a great many years ( recreational drug issue aside ), making the best of himself and giving of his best for his country, and has long been a big favourite of mine.

All the best, Dan !

Sorry Joe, but I'm super-happy for Marcus there.  Always had a soft spot for him since watching him and Evo on the US Challenger tour all those years ago, with Mike Cation on commentary!

With Evo gone and Liam winding down there really are few of 'em left from my period of Brit tennis superfandom a decade or so ago.

Yes, same here,  love Marcus, would always support Joe against anyone else but  love to watch Marcus and  really delighted he  got the win.  His partner pretty good too.

Absolutely - go, Marcus - you can't help but warm to him biggrin

And, anyway, two Brits beats one Brit
