Didnt get the chance to see this or follow it, but we get a Wimbledon finalist and chapeau to Henry P for doing so and being part of the best pair in mens doubles.

Final:  (1) Harri Heliövaara (FIN) & Henry Patten CR 2 (1+1) defeated (6) Marcelo Arévalo & Mate Pavic (ESA/CRO) CR 21 (10+11) by 7-6(4) 7-6(3)  ban-woohoo.gif  Impressive!  A Brit is the Wimbledon men's doubles champion for the third year in a row!  biggrin

In what has in the past been tight at the top, the lads as joint #1s now go 2560 points clear in the rankings and 2280 points clear in the race and are showing as having already qualified for the ATP Tour Finals.

So we were Wimbledon winners again. And there was that head-turning moment with Henry as tears of joy forced their way to the surface. You never forget your first Wimbledon win, but this was a unique feeling. Even though we felt amazingly confident from the start today, it still took so many things to turn around so that when the tournament was over, we were the ones lifting the trophy. Was our game perfect at any point during the tournament? I don't think so, but in tight situations we were iron again and again. Our last five sets of the tournament ended in tie breaks, and we won every one of them.

Now you can enjoy, scream and cry. These are the moments you always dream of if you dare. For a moment during the last 24 hours, you even feared that those unique memories of the 2024 Wimbledon final would somehow be replaced by this year's possible failure, but what else? Those unique memories just kept coming. We're pretty tough guys.
