Boys: 2026 Wimbledon (Week 27)

Rhys lost the 3rd set 4-6

A very good effort

But the result was fair

Well done, lad

He's really making progress and you can see him moving up to adults well

I can't remember if I've seen Ollie Pag play before

So very much enjoying it now - especially as he's won the first set

He seems to have an admirably 'simple' game, which is a compliment

A lot of our players seem to think they get bonus points for an ultra flashy, inside out, leaning over backwards, shot on the line

Ollie seems to rely very much on good crosscourt shots, with variation thrown in here and there

It's good to see

Rhys and partner have withdrawn from the doubles

Almost certain that's because of his partner, not Rhys

Lee (the partner) won his singles in a long-ish match today, so probably wants the time to recover for tomorrow's match

Oli the last Brit standing in the juniors, 6-3 6-4 to make the quarters. Been looking at his results sheet and he's only really had success on the J30 and J60 tournaments, where has this come from???

Yes - and he went out in the QFs of the 18U nationals

Lost to Billy Moxon, pretty easily

Good stuff, well done Ollie P - does he seem to be someone who is comfortable on grass, maybe he is more natural on it than some of the other players?

What's with all these foreigners with English names?

Well, that sort of works both ways, don't you think? And that is a good thing.

Probably just as well given the current top 3 British males are a Frenchman, a Kiwi and a German!

Good luck to Oliver Page in the QF's - excellent week for him

Yes - still remember Cameron coming over to the UK, age 17  or 18, moving into the NTC, lots of press coverage - he was there 3 months, hated it with a vengeance, and had his college application dranw up and signed ultra fast biggrin

Unsurprisingly Oliver struggled against Thijs. The end result is an intriguing semi-final between him and Cruz Lleyton Hewitt, the two highest ranked ATP players in the draw

QF

(11) Thijs Boogaard (NED) d. (WC) Oliver Page 6-3 6-1
