RE: Week 28 – ITF W50 Nottingham, Great Britain - Hard

Well, she is 28, so experienced but still young in tennis terms, CH of 199 in singles, in 2020. So is a sort of yardstick for those ranked below that level. I think we tend to over estimate potential in the younger players in most cases.

Alicia does all the hard work coming back from 5-0 down only to get broken at 6-5* to lose the set. Brooke and Leticia lost in straight sets, Leticia was making errors in trying too hard

Nice hard-fought win for Alicia

The only GB v Pesky win today so far ....

Did Indi just break the camera when hitting something after losing a point?

Edit: She absolutely must have broken it, it stopped working the moment you hear her hit something and is just black now with score still updating in the corner doh

I don't know how the cameras are positioned but she must have hit some kind of box which possibly had cables/wires providing the transmission because there's no visual and no sound. She was directly underneath the camera and you see her swing and hear a thud at 53:20 of the stream

The cameras are static normally positioned high up beyond the baseline.
There is no chance that could be deliberate.

I agree she didn't mean to break the camera, she hit something underneath the camera mount position which has caused it to stop working

Sounds like something was reconnected and the stream is back up again, not helping Indi though she's 5-2* down

It's deliberately hitting something - it didn't fly off her racket by mistake

It doesn't matter if it's deliberately hitting the camera or not

And she lost quite easily - which pleases me as Emily App deserved it on the tennis, and she didn't whack things she's not supposed to whack

Emily beats Indi in straight sets

Amelie is clinging on against Leonard, I'm happy to do a full result roundup post after that match finishes

Thanks sammmm.

GB having all 4 semi finalists does look very possible.

I fancy Katja for a win - aggressive little player when fit. Admittedly, I didn't see her match earlier, so could be wrong..
