Yay Fran keeps racking up the wins and the points, I think she'll be back inside the top 100 if she makes the final

Fran has won her last 12 matches.

She also beat Alice in straight sets about 3 weeks ago.

 Yes, looks like she'll make it. Not sure how long she will stay there though as she has 165 points dropping off in September. She does need to step up another level to make progress.

Tbf, doing what she's been doing she has added 302 ( net 301 ) ranking points and counting in the last 4 weeks, replacing what looked a pretty formidable 290 points. Those 165 points in September are the total of the counting points she is due to drop during the rest of this year ( out of her live 729 points ).

And some folk thought she should be resting up this week    I don't wholly take that back, but hey ....

Aussie Open main draw by ranking feels like an achievable target for Fran given where she is now which looked very unlikely after the grass season
