Cam played a good match and is looking strong. Quite a few breaks of serve from the off. Alex looked broken at the end and in a lot of pain.

Wow I wasn't expecting that result, having gone to bed when Cam was a set and a break down!
Well done Cam! Hope ADM is ok.

 Alex's presser at Wimbledon was very downbeat. Maybe both he and Katie need a reset

 I think AdM at Wimbledon was v much around getting to the near sharp end of tournies and not being able to get that one step further - 7 QF and 7 other Last 16 appearances in slams and not one semi in his career and that seemed to have really got him down. 

No doubt not at all linked to this, but that seemed to be causing his downer then

 Tennis abstract rated Arthur as tournie favourite last night in what is a wide open draw - albeit hardly a clear favourite

I believe with Cam's defeat there will be a new Masters winner, as no remaining player has won one.

 It shows how once you get past the top two or three, Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev, the mens game is completely open. Its possible to say most of the rest arent actually consistently strong enough to win big events - Fritz, FAA, Shelton etc - and maybe its a week era, all told? Not sure - one mans weak era is anothers saying the top few are so good! 

This event reminds me of Shanghai last year and Vacherot and Rinderknech going to the final. interesting to see where it lands. 

shame a Brit cant take advantage of the mayhem!
