Every month I say it's hard to choose and then the next month it gets even tougher, with so many excellent performances to choose from. I think Arthur is probably the top candidate and deserves to win, but I have special affection for both Fran and Henry so I feel very torn. This month I'm going with Henry - you can't really argue against a Wimbledon champion!! Just hoping Fran takes her good form into the US Open so I can vote for her next month.

So the vote is over with 36 votes placed and congrats to Arthur Fery on being July Player of the Month.

Also, well done to Maia for being runner up and she will join Arthur in the player of the season finals at the back end of the year.

Thanks to all those who voted - 36 is the top vote number this year; hopefully we will gradually pull some more votes back to this, I hope so.

 Indeed, although Arthur was never seriously close to not winning it.
