For a set and half Harriet was as bad as I've ever seen her. Im not sure Heather (who also isn't playing well) got all that much worse although she did get very passive, Harriet just got slightly better.
3rd set - for every one of the 12 British QR2 and FQR matches so far, with Fran to come.
So far from these the set 1 winner has ultimately won just 3 times, the set 2 winner 8 times. Momentum? ( though not much momrntum for set 1 winners into set 2, given clearly all the set 1 winners have lost set 2! )

I wanted Hev to win but don't see it now.
Heather looks to be running out of steam a bit. One serve, into the net was 57mph, though she did go on to hold serve. Harriet could beat herself yet of course. She was terrible for a set and a half. She was basically getting stressed about things like the air con machine not working. Looks the more likely winner now but still capable of self destructing.
Heather faded badly in the third set. Looked as if she just didn't have the energy and match fitness to keep competing. Decent win for Harriett who has come through a pretty easy qualifying group of players but not convincingly.
Shame for Heather but I do feel her singles career is probably coming towards its conclusion.

And yet, from this event, Heather is still in the top 5 in Britain
Glad for Harriet, though, she really had to struggle, wirh herself more than anything
