The under 14 girls final will be between Ginny, our top ranked in Tennis Europe, and Naina, who has taken the scenic route (3 sets in every match). Henry Momot and Harriet Graham had comfortable victories in the under 11 finals

I like Henry but Im not sure about Harriet. A great competitor but plays not to lose rather than to win. A lot of safe shots and slices to keep the ball well in. Very good at key points and knows what shes doing. However I recall Sevil was very similar at that age and did incredibly well until age 12/13 and then it just wasnt enough. I wonder if Natalia and Jaela will both overtake her in the next few years. Time will tell I guess and it doesnt take away her achievement today
Thanks for the comments Rose - always helpful to have a bit of insight on younger players who I, and I imagine most others on this board, have not seen play.
Naina claims the under 14 crown - probably doesn't rate as a shock, considering Ginny's record in recent months. Naina also teamed up with Bella to win the doubles.
For those interested in players with sporting pedigree I note that one of the under 12 knock-out competitors (lost today) was Reggie Ennis-Hill, son of Jessica
Under 12 finals are set for tomorrow. In the case of the girls it is two members of the recent European Summer Cup squads whilst with the boys Conrad Goh was in the squad, but Fletcher Davies ousted squad member Louis Taylor en route to the final.
