Real paucity of British women playing there. Surely there are enough opportunities to play at the ITF level?
For our ranked women that are not injured, retired or at university, they are all nearly entered somewhere. It's just that a lot of them have Portugal as their No 1 and are quite a way down the alt list and the few that don't are a long way down the alts list for their No 1.
There are only three tournaments at W35 or higher this week (and one is in China). Limited chances for the Brits as there are a lot of players ranked 200 to 500 on the entry lists. Looks like lots of changes coming up by Tuesday's withdrawal deadline.

Victoria Allen is currently the last direct entry in qualifying in the W35 in Spain - at WR439 - but it is her 4th choice so she'll probably end up in Egypt or Tunisia where she would make the main draw (2nd and 3rd priorities).
