 I don't agree 

A male gynaecologist can be perfectly expert and top of the field - he doesn't have to be a woman to be a gynaecologist 

The same for a female prostate oncologist 

A 35 year-old doctor can treat an 85-year old patient - their bodies will not be the same but that doesn't matter

Indeed, a top cancer doctor does not have to have, or ever had, cancer to be a top cancer doctor

Well done Sofia!! What an impressive win, wouldn't it be wonderful to see her have a post-college progression like Alicia has the past 12 months

What a good win. The 22 points she has gained so far should lift her to around WR375, ahead of Naiktha, Heather and Emily A

 She started the year unranked, and now is on the brink of the top 400. Definitely looking good for her!

 She started the year unranked, and now is on the brink of the top 400. Definitely looking good for her!

 That's such a great transition from college to tour and what's most encouraging is she is still beating players quite a lot higher ranked than her suggesting her ranking isn't yet at her current playing level

Seems to be some rankings discrepancies above, but anyway I can agree all the live-tennis points tallies for GB #9 to #17.

From being 31/08 WR 459 ( GB #17 ) on 129 points, live-tennis has Sofia correctly up 22 points to 151 points so far for its live 14/09 rankings and has her what will now be live 410 after Hannah's win. Live GB #15,  having overtaken Emily App and Victoria Allen.

Naiktha is actually live 379, live GB #10, in a now congested GB pack from live GB #10 to #15 - 164, 163, 162, 161, 159, and 151 points.

With Naiktha on live GB #10 on 164 points, Hannah live GB #14 on 159 points and Sofia live GB #15 on 151 points, both can overtake Naiktha this week and one can be into the provisional GB top 10 - with a further week until the next rankings on 14/09 ( both Hannah and Sofia are down for next week's Portugal W50 ). Mimi is a bit clear for now as live GB #9 on 200 points

Overall, It is far from ideal that right now WR high 300s makes the GB top 10 but it is great that Sofia personally has got right into that mix and hopefully both her and Hannah will keep on climbing.

OER appears to have done something very weird with qualifying tournaments awarding an extra 20 points to several players (note Gigi Hays) and the same appears to have happened with Sofia


Edit: Hannah's numbers appear correct, she will move to 159 points once her latest win is added, Sofia is projected to be on 170 which is 19 too many but there's a 20 points for QR1 from this tournament as mentioned above

Looks like OER have an extra 10 points in their figures, so ignore me as Indi knows the correct figures !
