Second set was topsy turvy and Hannah lost it 4-6.there was a med time out- I think for Fruhvirtova h, and now Hannah 4-0 up in final set.

The MTO was for Hannah - her leg

And she looked a little despondent at the end of the set - took a bathroom break

And came back, took the ball on, went after the serve a bit, even forced some DFs

And Linda got a little flat - she could see it slipping away

And Hannah ended up winning it easily in the end

A W50 title - doesn't that sound nice ????

I think that is Hannah's first senior title, and won in style.

Lovely win for Hannah which I think will give her a new CH and take her into the GB top 10. Good news for those who have her in their EOY predictions!

Excellent stuff. A first senior title. Hopefully that this can be the 1st of many.

Ah thanks, I wasn't sure; makes it even more of an achievement if  she was suffering with a niggle.

Yes, a W50 title - brilliant.  Really pleased for her.

Twenty people have Hannah in their predictions, with an avarage of GB #9 and WR251. She's well on the way, and a big increase from GB 22 and WR652 on 15/12/2025

Well done Kluggers! Definitely hope to see her kicking on now and achieving some of her undoubted potential, we've been waiting a while.

Yes, Hannah will certainly have clinched a new CH. The next rankings update is not until 14/09 but she is now live ranked 342 against her CH 365.

And even firmer into the GB #10 position ( reaching the final here had initially got her there in the live rankings ).

Ready to add more next week? ( as long as that leg isn't an issue, no point in taking chances, but she did do well in the 3rd set )

And no ranking points to defend until next year !!  The only way for the rest of this year is up

Hannah said in her victory speech that Katie Boulter's ex-coach Biljana Veselinovi was inher camp this week in Leiria (as well as Ben)

I wonder if it's Biljana who made the difference

Because it was very clear from watching her today in particular, and this week in general, that she was playing in a far more positive way, further up the court, less slice, following into the net on a pretty regular basis, really taking control and either winning or losing the points on her terms

She also, for instance, usaully goes for quite ambitious second serves, she's got several that she keeps going for, and nails one in four, with a lot of DFs. But today she was basically rolling her second serve in - which was spot on adivce as Linda wasn't doing anything with it

And someone had obviously told her to do that

So I think it's very likely that, along with Ben who brings familiarity and confidence, Biljana added a bit more pep, some clearer tactics, that played to her strengths

(PS the addict, not a huge deal, but it was 7-5 in the first set, not 7-6)

Lots of info in this thread to make up a POM nomination for Hannah.

Hannah is the 7th highest ranked under 18 now. And actually only 2 of those 7 are younger than her.
