Week 36 - WTT W50 - Evora, Portugal - Hard

Sofia will be the 6th different Britiah player Kayla Cross has played since the beginning of June. Mimi  and Harriet defeated her, Katie B  lost to her in Toronto and Megan Knight lost  by the same scoreline as Mika lost today.Mika may have beaten Jodie but she is still yet to beat anyone other than a fellow Brit since Edgbaston.

Kayla's getting me quite cross

C'mon Sofia !

This latest good run with a very nice looking win today has taken Sofia up to live ranked 386 and to GB #13 ( in a very tight group from #11 to #15 )

Swan takes the first set 6-4 against Rapolu, who seems a very capable player. Quite a ding-dong match, with Swan defending breakpoints to serve it out.

Yes, Rapolu must be an ex-college player, I presume - as you say, she has a nice game, certainly better than her ranking

Katie lost the second set 6-3 but is 3-0 up in the decider and Rapolu is having an MTO

Always panic if Katie has a MTO

Likewise but doesn't look like it was anything too serious as she's now *5-1 up in the decider and about to serve for the match

A cracking match to watch, and a very good win for Swan.
