This is the best I've seen Mika play in quite a long time, serve is working really well today which is making a big difference

Good stuff, Mika vs Alicia in the SF.

Hope to watch some of it and I'll probably be supporting Mika more, though I am certainly a fan of both.

Would be great to see Mika retain her title and at least eat into these 100 points she will be dropping after next week from last year's Birmingham and Wrexham tournaments. Good to hear that her form was looking good and I'd expect to see her climbing back up the rankings from any short term fall, and hopefully pushing well on from there.

Like CD earlier, I don't think Alicia is properly back yet. But she has a big rankings window until next March, and I expect to see her at least in the top 200 before too long.

Have Alicia and Mika played each and if so what is their record against each other?

According to the WTT they have never met - at least not in a pro tournament.

Early breaks for both Mika and Alicia before both held serve, on serve at 3-2 Mika.

Mika's serve is looking good so far.

Alicia is using her ability to redirect the ball to try to get Mika running (I love Alicia's inside out forehand, it's such an effective shot for her)

Enjoying the Mika-Alicia battle so far.

Alicia is just that bit more consistent. Broke at 4-4 and served out the set 6-4

Alicia's slight weakness appears to be her ball toss which is a little variable. Has anyone else noticed that?
