I see the ATP have outlined where they are going from 2028 onwards.
Greater emphasis on the 1000 level events, less on 250's. Money and points reward will be staggered towards those big events that people take notice of
10 Masters Series events going forwards - Saudi added and more points for those doing well in these events. Not sure if that means they jump as high as a GS ie 2000 points or somewhere in the middle? I guess in the middle, eg 1500 to the winner?
8 weeks of 500 events with those weeks reserved for 500's (presumably means the circuit will have 16 500 events in total)
10 weeks of 250 events, again reserved. Presumably 30 250 events in total in 2028.
Aim is push more of the reward and emphasis on the 1000 events, the shop window, and reduce the need for top players to play 250 events. Reducing overall workload in the process.
They dont say it but I wonder if qualifying for tour finals in future will be linked to GS, 1000 and maybe 500 events, and de linked from 250's? Maybe meaning the 250's effectively become super Challengers?
Lots more money across the circuit as part of the announcement and doubles to be reviewed still with any money that is released from doubles going to qualies and early rounds of singles

One of the biggest changes here, I understand, is that players will be free to choose where and when they compete and mandatory participation events are cancelled, replaced by incentives. i.e.
1. for top players, ATP Bonus Pool will increase from $21.5 million to $50 million, rewarding players who commit to the Tours premier events
2. for the top-250 (which will be great for a lot of out players), - "a year-end rankings bonus for players finishing in the Top 250 of the PIF ATP Rankings, providing $25 million in career support to help players meet the costs of competing on the Tour."
3. for the top-300 (also great for GB players) - "an annual player pension contribution of approximately $30 million, enhancing pension and retirement benefits for 300 players each year."
