Amazing to see her putting these sorts of results together. Well done!
I think we sometimes forget that Ella graduated from juniors with a world ranking of 8. Injuries have impeded her progress but now she is starting to fulfill her potential. She is still only 21 so a lot further to go.

I don't think it was the injuries really
She played a pretty full schedule for a lot of the teenage years
I think she had a problem with coaches (post Noelle etc)
And just wasn't ready for the tour, got a bit down on herself, it's a hard baptism for many of the juniors
And so the decision to go stateside and to have a college structure was inspired
Ella also has won a wildcard into the WTA250 ATX Open in Austin in February 2027. That'll be a nice little $3k bonus !
Which she won't be able to benefit from (the money). Remember, as a college student she's restricted to $10K prize money a year, after which she can only receive prize money equal to tournament expenses, an amount she'll easily reach with or without playing a WTA250.
Ella and Kylie looks like a potentially exciting partnership, is Kylie at college and if so is she and Ella at the same college?
Kylie is a former LSU student, her final season being the year before Ella joined.

What a fantastic win and week for Ella, lovely to see her playing so well again after what seemed like a disappointing summer. Which college year is Ella in now?
Although she's only in her 2nd semester/2nd season as a college student, for athletic purposes shes classed as a 3rd year as she had to forfeit a year's eligibility due to her age and experience when enrolling.

Although that is next year and one never knows, she might have quit college then and the addict might be right
I wonder how the lawsuit to change that rule is progressing. I thought it was going to be decided in the spring.
As I understand, the lawsuit that was settled this spring (with Maya Joint, Reese, etc), was for pre-college earnings (the players won and can now earn as much as they like before entering fulltime college). But it doesn't apply to during full-time college time.
Brengle has a very odd service action. She hardly draws her arm back at all, so it looks more like she is hurling the ball over the net rather than striking it.
