Sorry Mad the weans were playing up so had to dash...just in time to read the rather depressing 2nd set posts....looks like he just could not keep going with Llodra
Thanks for the updates you three, they are very much appreciated, even if they didn't say quite what I'd hoped for. Oh well, at least we still have British representation in Jonny. And Mackin did great to get to the quarters after qualifying.

Shame that Mackin was unable to stay with Llodra in the 2nd set. Llodra was making life so difficult for Alan on his serve in the first set that a tiebreak was always going to heavily favour the Frenchman. Still, he's got to be happy with a 40 place ranking rise to 328, hopefully it won't be long before he's into the top 300.
Marray v Rochus is at 1pm our time. Here are some facts just to highlight the sheer scale of the task Marray is facing: Rochus has reached rd3 of Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open, he won ATP Munich, has made quarters of Rotterdam, Dubai, Halle and New Haven. In Indian Wells he took a set off Federer before losing 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 and in Halle he came even closer holding match points in the 3rd set breaker before losing 6-7[2], 7-6[9], 7-6[5]. However, Rochus has shown signs of vulnerability this week, losing sets to Gulbis and El Aynaoui and the courts don't really suit his game. He'll have to play some of his best tennis against Marray who will look to get to the net at every opportunity and force Rochus to thread the needle time and time again.
do we know who's serving? Because Rochus has 30-0 in the third game and if he's serving then it's OK, but if Jonny's serving then he may lose the break.
Excellent start from him though!

I'm guessing that Rochus is serving first but could be totally wrong ! Why can't the scoreboard have a little indicator to tell you who's serving, it would be so easy to do !
