RE: greg and Boggo's competitors week 39

It looks like Bastl is going to be out of the picture, he's losing 6-3, 3-0 to Danai Udomchoke

Yep, bastl is no longer a threat. he lost 63 60, so some excellent pin work there!

The table's updated for today's daytime action in Europe.

Eschauer overtakes Greg, who drops to 138th again. Zib overtakes Alex, who drops to 142nd. Zib's now level on points with Greg.

Waske, Kubot, Peya and Bastl go out.

There's still two evening matches in Grenoble (El Ayanoui and Llodra) to go, as well as all the action in the new world. Hartfield can still overtake tonight.

Over to Imoen: What happens if Alex beats Tim?  What's the worst case now?

If Boggo beats Tim tomorrow he will have 330 points, taking him at least 7 places higher and potentially 11 places. Leaving him at either 135 or 131.

If he loses:

Berrer can overtake by reaching the quarters of Mumbai

Hartfield can overtake by reaching the quarters of Grenoble

Navarro Pastor can overtake by reaching the semis of Bratislava

Russell by reaching the final of Tulsa

Hernandez reaching the quarters of Palermo

Llodra final of Grenoble

Haehnel winning Grenoble.

So Alex can lose a maximum of 6 places this week as Haehnel and Llodra are drawn to meet in the semis. This would leave him at 148, no change from last week.

El Aynaoui lost, Llodra won.

By the way, if Alex beats Tim he will become the British number three, overtaking Greg.

Greg is also under threat from Zib (same points as him but less at compulsory tournaments), Berrer, Hernandez, Llodra, Russell, Navarro Pastor and Hartfield.

The table's updated.

That's the last of the ATP tournament players: Berrerwent out, and didn't overtake Alex . Delgardo won in Mumbai & disappears off the top of the table.

Meanwhile Hartfield  overtakes his second Brit in two days: Greg drops back to 139.

Querrey,  having overtaken them both, drops out.

Kendrick, Russell and Llodra also advance. Hernandez goes out.

No update from Bratislava - either it was raining or they didn't update the ATP computer.

Only Zib in Bratislava can overtake Greg today. Only Navarro Pastor can overtake Alex (and only if he plays & wins two matches)

Zib lost, So Greg's safe from him at least.

Unfortunately, Navarro Pastor won, so Boggo drops another place, and Greg is now sitting on 310 points alongside him and Zib.

Updated again for teh overnight news from the new world.

Russell advances to one point from Alex. Reynolds advances onto the bottom of the table. Morrison  goes out off the bottom.

Hartfield  does a Querrey, and goes out as soon as he overtakes Greg.

Today, Alex can drop 2 places, Greg 3: Russell and Llodra can overtake both. Navarro Pastor can overtake Greg.

On Sunday,  if Llodra doesn't overtake today, Haehnel  (his opponent) can overtake Boggo.

Lots of pin work please!

Well the worst case happened

Greg drops 3 more places to 142. 4 down on the week

Alex drops 2 places to 146: only 2 up on the week, despite an ATP tour win.

Navarro- Pastor, Russell and Llodra  all advance past the boys. Reynolds also advances.

Kendrick and Haehnel go out.

Reynolds cannot overtake now, so that's it for this week.
