Many congrats to Tim, looks like he'll be in with a chance of making the top 32 by the end of the year but he'll need a good run in Basel and a wildcard into at least one of the masters series.
I'm surprised he didn't play Vienna this week, it's one of his favourite tournaments, he's won the title there at least twice, beat Federer in the final there one year
i suppose its a welcome break after his success in asia, but im hoping he does enter one of the master series, paris imo. maybe if he enters qualies, then he will get more points to get his ranking near the top 32.
anyhow, congrats henman, hope you do well in the final. but i got a feeling that when federer plays against top players, including henman, hes at his best. hopefully his win over ancic will inspire to do better.
I think Henman should surely get a wildcard into Paris as a past champion. If the tournament was in Britain and a French player who'd won it a few years ago was in need of a wildcard, he'd get one without question.
I hope that Madrid give him one aswell. Having not done particularly well there in the past won't really count in his favour but the number of titles he's won indoors and his grand slam record will hopefully persuade the organisers.
I reckon Tim will make the cut after his recent great run which brings him up to 40 when the new ranking releases on Monday(hopefully a few more places if Tim beats Roger) .the worse case is that he needs just 2 withdrawls
british thats not how it wor.s its based on his ranking 6 weeks before the tourny starts not his current ranking, his current one would just be for seeds.
