Q: Which would you say was your best match of the year ?
Alex: "My best match of the year was in rd2 of the Mons challenger against Raemon Sluiter. I won that match in 3 sets and went on to reach the final. He played really well to start off with and I lost the first set 6-4. I also had to save break points on my serve, early in the 2nd set but I kept hanging on in there and eventually my first opportunity came late in the 2nd set which I took and then managed to go on and win the decider. I'd say it was my best match because I had to keep raising my game and finding different levels in order to win.

Q: What was your favourite tournament to compete in ?
Alex: My favourite tournament has got to be the US Open because it's in New York and there's so much to do out there. The courts are really good and the people are also very friendly. I also liked the ATP Newport tournament as even though the courts were pretty bad, I made my first ATP quarter-final.
